Recently, I went to the mall on a quest to find the latest Tokidoki Unicorno blind boxes at Hot Topic. Unfortunately, they were out, but I did find a good deal on their clearance and they happened to have two items I wanted. The deal was- Buy 1 Item/Get 1 item for a $1.

So, I wandered around the store and didn't see much that caught my eye, until there was a random Blue Flu Discord sitting on top of a rack with a $12 sticker on him. I'm not going to lie, I'm not he biggest Discord fan. I enjoy what he brings to the show, but I'm not a huge follower. Up until now, the only other Discord merchandise I owned was from the Funko Mystery Mini blind boxes and that's because I wanted the whole collection. Anyway, I couldn't resist the $12 price and I actually did attempt to buy this guy last winter, but oddly enough, some guy in the area I live in went around and bought all of the Discord figures from Hot Topic. Not sure what he was trying to accomplish.....all I know is that the Hot Topic employees at the stores I shop at informed me they were out because some guy came in and bought them all. I guess Discord's biggest fan lives around here.......
Look closely at the top of the box and you will see there is a rip in the box where it says "vinyl", so this is definitely not a figure I'll keep in the box. The rip did not discourage me from buying it at all. I mean, for $12, I have no complaints! Plus, the figure looks perfectly fine. Once I take him out of the box it won't matter.

He does look quite villainous in the this figure of him. My only complaint was that when he was Blue Flu Discord on the tv show he acted more helpless and he was sick, so it'd be nice if they had made him look that way or had him lying in the bed. A bit lazy on Funko's part, but other than that he looks great and I like the coloring!

So, since the deal on clearance was getting the second item for $1, I had to find something else! I looked for quite a while and I was afraid I was going to have to buy some ditzy accessory or something of that nature, because I wasn't finding anything worthy! Until....! In a box on the floor I saw a random Derpy card box! It had a $7 clearance sticker too! I scooped that baby up right fast! -I have been slacking with the card boxes for the last 2 years. Basically, once I moved out to California I realized it was a lot harder to find and buy MLP merchandise. Anyway, so, what a deal I scored! Both items for $13!
This box is for the Collectible Card Game (CCG) from EnterPlay and includes:
- Special Foil Card (of Derpy)
- 3 CCG card packs
- Poster
- Sticker

The special card that comes in the box is of Derpy as a mail carrier and of course the mail is getting lost everywhere! I think the card is super adorable!

As you can see from the picture above, the card is indeed a foil! Those are my favorite, by the way!

The special sticker included in the box features Derpy at the Equestria games. She is adorable here too, but I like the foil card better.

The poster included in the box is the exact same image as the foil card, which I was very happy about. My only issue is that it was folded! I have this issue with all of the MLP tins and boxes that include posters though. I'm just OCD about my posters and art. I'd rather there be a form inside to fill out or something like that and just have the company send me the poster; I'd even pay for shipping just to have my poster not folded or bent!

I'm behind in collecting the cards for the CCG. I didn't start until early this year, because it's not easy to find these where I live. However, I have quite a few of the original Premier cards, because this summer I was gifted with many booster packs from family and friends. Most the cards I opened from this box were dupes for me, but a few were new. The new cards I received I placed strategically to be viewed in the picture above.

Sorry for the big bright spot, but I wanted to show off the fact that the Spike card I received was a foil! I love foil cards, seriously.
